Admissions Process
Four Steps to CASTA.
1. Inquire
Fill out a brief interest form. A member of our team will reach out to discuss any questions and help with next steps.
2. Apply & Submit Documents
Submit your application to admissions@chestertonsta.org, along with official 6th–8th grade transcripts and three teacher recommendations covering literature, math, and a subject of your choice. Transferring high school students should also submit official high school transcripts.
3. Assessment & Essay
All students take a placement exam and a written essay. We administer the Classic Learning Test 8 (CLT8) for incoming freshmen, covering verbal reasoning, grammar and writing, and quantitative reasoning; an optional Latin exam is also offered.
4. Chairman/Headmaster Meeting
Once the majority of the process is complete, we'll schedule a meeting with you, your student, and our Chairman and Headmaster to ensure we're the right fit for your family.

Tuition
An Investment Made Possible by Donors.
Chesterton Academy's cost per student is $19,846, but thanks to the generosity of donors, all students receive an automatic scholarship of $9,847. Our tuition rate for the 2026–2027 school year is $9,999, competitive with schools throughout our area. Our annual enrollment/re-enrollment fee is $500. Though we strive to keep tuition affordable, families can expect a modest increase of about 5% each year to keep up with rising costs.

We work hard to make our Catholic education affordable for as many families as possible — proud to offer automatic scholarship and financial aid to qualified families. We also offer merit awards for incoming students who demonstrate excellence in academics, fine arts, or Catholic discipleship. Greater priority is given to families who complete the admissions process before December 31st.
